Based on a design that I created for my own children, I was inspired to sew a pencil case that could fit a 30 cm ruler inside it alongside all of the usual pens, pencils and school stationary required. 
Each pencil case is sewn from a bright and colourful cotton outer fabric and lined with a coordinating coloured waterproof lining. To save the outer fabric from the inevitable pen explosions that somehow happen at school / in the school bag. 
I designed the pencil cases to have small pull tabs for easy opening, and a carry handle for easy transportation. 
These pencil cases would also be a great solution for holidays, whether staying in a caravan or in Capri! Roomy enough for a 30cm ruler and lots of pens, but not too bulky. Tried, tested and approved by my own children. 
Approx dimensions: 31cm long, 6cm high and 10cm wide.
